Bantam Game Summaries (Ages 14-15)

2000 Season

November 5                      Provincial Final                  Black Kats 31 Moncton 0

            The Black Kats romped to their second consecutive N.B. championship despite losing star running back Dan Keith early in the game. Kyle Currie filled in abley by rumbling for three majors. Adam Robar had the other Kats major. John Fiset booted three converts and a single.

November 4             Capital Area 2nd Place Game      Blues 33 Lions 12

            Kyle Nash and Collin Sansom each scored a pair of touchdowns to pace the Blues attack. Mark Gahan had the other Blues major while Sansom, Gahan and Mikhael Senecal added converts. Brent McGrath scored both Lions six pointers.

November 1                       Western Final                     Black Kats 18 Simonds 6  

            Danny Keith scored all three Kats majors as a game Simonds team gave Fredericton a scare.

October 22                        Western Semi-Final            Black Kats 55 Hampton 0   

            The Kats got two touchdowns each from Joel Anderson, Danny Keith and Adam Robar. Jim Langmaid had the other Kats major while John Fiset was good on six of seven converts. He also scored a single on a missed field goal.

October 15                                                                     Kennebecasis 38 Lions 8

           Mitchell Bye scored the Lions six pointer and Bruce Canning added the convert.

            The Blues got touchdowns from Kyle Nash and Mikhael Senecal.

October 9   2nd Annual North-South Bowl Game        Black Kats 104  Lions 6

          A four touchdown performance by Kyle Currie powered the Kats to their win. Dan Keith had three touchdowns, Adam Robar had two while Joel Anderson, Justin Barr, Jim Langmaid and Jean-Francois Mallet had one each. John Fiset was 13 for 13 on converts. Brent McGrath scored the lone Lions major on a kickoff return.

October 6                                              Black Kats 28 MacNaughton Highlanders 0

         The Black Kats traveled to Moncton for an exhibition game against MacNaughton Junior Highlanders.  Dan Keith paced the Black Kats attack with three touchdowns. Joel Anderson scored the other Kats major and John "The Toe" Fiset was good on two of four convert attempts.

October 4                                                                       Blues 48 Lions 20

         The Blues got three touchdowns each from Collin Sansom and Kyle Nash and one from Lindsay O'Leary. Blues converts were scored by Sansom, Nash, O'Leary, Darren Greeley with two , Josh Marsden and Mark Gahan. Brent McGrath scored three six pointers for the Lions with two converts being added by Justin Maunder .

        Adam Robar and Danny Keith each had two touchdowns while Joel Anderson and Jim Langmaid scored one each. John Fiset booted four conversions.

       Adam Robar's four touchdown performance paced the Kats to a lopsided victory. Joel Anderson and Jim Langmaid scored the other Black Kat majors. John Fiset booted three converts.

       The Black Kats got touchdowns from Danny Keith, Adam Robar and Trevor Dougherty. John Fiset added two converts and a field goal.  The defence scored a safety.

       The Kats got three touchdowns from Joel Anderson , two from Kyle Currie and one each from Anis Samimi, Trevor Dougherty and Jim Langmaid. John Fiset kicked three converts and the defence added a safety.

       Kyle Nash scored the game's only touchdown.

       Adam Robar and  Kyle Currie each had two touchdowns while Dan Keith, Jim Langmaid and Trevor Dougherty had one six pointer each for the Kats. John Fiset booted six converts and a field goal and the defence scored a safety touch.

        Kyle Nash scored three touchdowns and Mikael Senecal, Darren Greeley and Tony Peter-Paul each had one six pointer for the winners. Greeley and  Senecal also added converts.

      Joel Anderson paced the Kats attack with two touchdowns  with Dan Keith and Kyle Currie adding one each. John Fiset added 3 converts.

September 6                                                                     Black Kats 22 Blues 8

    The Fredericton Junior Black Kats benefited from two special teams touchdowns en route to a
 22 - 8 victory over the Oromocto Junior Blues.  Anis Samimi collected a blocked punt and returned it for a touchdown and Adam Robar also scored on a punt return.    Joel Anderson had the other touchdown for the winners, while John Fiset rounded out the scoring with two two-point converts.    Colin Sansom replied with a touchdown for the Junior Blues and Stephen Blair kicked the convert.
