November 19
                                     Maritime Championship

Calais-St. Stephen Silverados 56 Annapolis Valley Bulldogs 14

Zach Newman and Blake Ford rushed for two TDs each to pace the Silverados to their lopsided win. Courtney Henry, Mike Cloney and Jordan Leeman added one major apiece. Steve Pomeroy converted all seven touchdowns.
Mitch Long passed to Lee Spence for one Bulldogs major before scoring himself on a one yard plunge on the last play of the game. Long also added a convert.

November 12                                 New Brunswick Championship

Calais-St. Stephen Silverados 44 Fredericton Junior Black Kats 6

In a game that was moved to Rocky Stone Field in Moncton due to horrendous field conditions at FHS, the Junior Black Kats got their only points on a 75 yard kickoff return by Devin Kearney. Fredericton trailed 20-6 at the half and was unable to move the ball on offence in a steady, cold rain against a big and strong Silverados team.
Zach Newman had three touchdowns for the Silverados who employed an offence that can be best described as a version of the "Winged T". The multiple fakes used in this system had the Kats defence confused all afternoon. Blake Ford, Courtney Henry and Jordan Leeman had one major apiece for the winners who now advance to the Maritime Championship against the Nova Scotia champion next Sunday at Rocky Stone.

Fredericton Junior Black Kats are within a win of winning the provincial bantam (ages 14-15) football championship.

Junior Kats earned the right to host the Moncton-Fundy semifinal winner in Sunday's provincial bantam final at Fredericton High School field - game time 1 o'clock - after beating Oromocto Junior Blues 24-15 Sunday to clinch the Capital Area Minor Football Association bantam title.

The high school team at Fredericton High School is also in position to win a provincial title for the second straight year as it plays the Bernice MacNaughton Highlanders of Moncton in the provincial final Saturday at Rocky Stone Field in Moncton. Kats defeated Tantramar High Titans 3-0 in semifinal action Saturday at FHS Field.

In the bantam matchup, the Junior Black Kats jumped out to a 16-0 lead in the first quarter and that would prove enough to knock off the Blues, who had defeated Northside Junior Lions 27-6 in the Capital Area semifinal the previous weekend.

Devin Kearney had two long touchdown runs in that opening quarter and combined with the converts by Brett Lockhard, the Kats were on their way.

Blues narrowed the gap to 16-7 at the half when Jesse Rae took it in from five yards out for the major score and Nathan Heather ran in the convert.

After a scoreless third quarter, Kats' quarterback Jeff Madsen found Patrick Downe in the flat and he raced 70 yards for the insurance major. With the Lockhard convert, the Kats were up 24-7.

Blues scored the game's final touchdown with less than a minute to go when Mitch Dingley ran it in from five yards out. Setting up the score was a Rae to Josh Blanchard pass and run play to the five. Dingley also added the convert.

The Junior Lions also played an exhibition game Sunday, losing 12-0 to the Penquis Valley Wolfpack from Maine on touchdowns by Richard Thurlen and Ryan Lyford.

In the provincial peewee semifinal played Sunday, the Oromocto Tigers were on the short end of a 27-25 score against the Calais-St. Stephen Silverados.

Tigers trailed 21-13 at the half and couldn't make up the deficit.
