About the Team

Up until 1998 the football team for 14-15 year olds on the south side of Fredericton was known as the Red Dogs. In 1999 permission was given by Fredericton High School to use the Black Kats nickname and colours. The team is operated by the Capital Area Minor Football Association. It is not operated by Fredericton High School. Bantam football is not a New Brunswick Interscholastic Athletic Association sport.
