Against the two time defending provincial champions the Leopards kept it close.
Jory Smith scored two touchdowns with Korey MacKenzie adding the third. Smith
also had a convert. The Leopards had the ball on the Sackville 25 yard line and
were driving for the tying touchdown when time expired. Justin
Lapointe and Jory Smith each rushed for two touchdowns to lead the Leopards to
the championship. Korey MacKenzie had the other major and Smith booted a
convert.
Justin Lapointe rambled for four touchdowns and Korey MacKenzie
added three more to pace the Leopards to their lopsided win. Jory Smith added
two converts. October 14 3rd Annual North-South Bowl Game Northside Mounties 25 Southside Red Bombers 0 Alex Byrne rumbled for three touchdowns to lead the Mounties to their first ever North-South Bowl win. Quarterback Lee Hughes passed to Daniel Mason for another major. Mike McCarthy added a convert. The Mounties swarming defence completely shut down the Red Bombers attack. Oromocto Leopards 52 Simonds Stingers 0 The Leopards scored early and often in running away from their overmatched opponents. Korey MacKenzie and Andrew Patten each scored two touchdowns. Jory Smith, Chris Bruce and Justin Lapointe each scored one six pointer. Smith was good on 5 of 7 convert attempts. October 8 Southside Red Bombers 44 Bayside Broncos 0 Quarterback Andrew Hickey connected with Andrew Wright for two touchdown passes. Jordan Richard, Nick Hawkins, Fraser Boldon and Derek Madsen all rushed for six pointers. John Chin booted four converts. October 7 Northside Mounties 25 Forest Hills Falcons 13 Alex Byrne was a one man wrecking crew scoring all four Mounties TD's. MacKenzie Washburn added a convert. October 2 Oromocto Leopards 7 Northside Mounties 6 The Leopards got a touchdown from Justin Lapointe and a convert from Jory Smith to offset Alex Byrne's TD for the Mounties. September 30 Oromocto Leopards 37 Lancaster Abbies 12 The Leopards got three touchdowns Jory Smith, two from Justin Lapointe and one from Korey MacKenzie. Smith also had a single. Derek Madsen rambled for two long touchdown runs and Andrew Hubbard added a
third touchdown for the Bombers. John Chin was good on two of three convert

Byrne also ran for a convert. Andrew Hubbard had the lone Bombers major. September 16 Northside Mounties 19 Hampton Huskies 12 Mike McCarthy scored two touchdowns, one on a 25 yard reverse and the other on 20 yard pass from Lee Hughes. With less than a minute remaining in the game, quarterback Lee Hughes hit Mike
McCarthy on a 20 yard touchdown pass to lift the Mounties to victory. McCarthy
scored the other Northside touchdown when he stripped the ball from a Leopard
ball carrier and returned it 10 yards for the score. The Mounties got touchdowns from Alex Byrne, Kelsey Currie, Daniel Mason and Mike McCarthy. Currie also ran for a convert. Andrew Hubbard had the Bombers lone major. September 4 Southside Red Bombers 18 Oromocto Leopards 6
The Bombers got touchdowns from Derek Madsen on a one yard plunge, Andrew Wright
on a 10 yard pass from Andrew Hickey, and Hickey on a 10 yard run to lead them
to the win. |
