Attendance: Terry McIntyre, Marvin Nash, Andrew Allaby, Jodi Steeves; David Blanchard, Joey Smith, Michele Coleman, Tanya Kitchen, Steve Drisdelle  

Absent: Marion McIntyre, Ray Muir, Lisa Fagan, Rick Forrest, Justin DeMerchant  

Sorted pads and kit boxes until 8:30

Meeting called to order at 8:35 pm

As of April 15 our registration numbers are shown below.  The numbers in brackets are the final numbers from 2008.

3. Fundraising report T Kitchen, J Steeves

Bottle drive May 30

-2 trucks reserved

-Have to know by Thursday for cancellation

-Southside needs a new coordinator

-will cancel if rain is forecasted for Saturday by Wednesday

-J Smith to finalize Oromocto sorting location

-Permits will be obtained for Oromocto  

New ideas

Breakfast at Kinsman

            -specific Saturdays

-they cover costs and the profits belong to the club

            -10-12 volunteers needed as servers  

T-shirt sales – to increase name recognition

-T McIntyre has CAMFA and Gladiator T shirts

-sweatshirts – Tanya and Jodi to get a few made for viewing and to collect orders  

50/50 tickets (McIntyres have tickets)  

Other idea - Selling poster boards, solicit larger organizations, Fredericton Foundation, put notice on website to collect Canadian Tire Money to use for buying equipment  

4. Equipment Manager’s report T Kitchen

More volunteers needed for equipment fittings; more coaches should assist with fittings for their players.  

5. Coaching Coordinator’s report: D Blanchard

• Attended equipment manager’s course in Ottawa; a one day course can be set up to train coaches how to fit equipment – set up for fall
• Community coaches course – can set one up later this spring
• Introduction to Competition course manuals (replaces level 1, 2, 3) are being rewritten and will be to be delivered in the fall.
• Planning a Football Camp Aug 13-15 in Fredericton .  Local players that have advanced post CAMFA would assist in the camp.
• May 2 U17 Provincial Team Tryouts
• June 11-13 Football Canada AGM (Blanchard and Allaby to attend)  Ottawa
• June 13 Moncton 50th Anniversary Dinner; Matt Dunnigan Hall of Famer is guest speaker

  S Drisdelle - VP

Level 1/ Intro to Competition courses- issue with coaches when course(s) is/are offered only on specific weekends; can they be held over a period to time or offered on weeknights. D. Blanchard will look into the potential.  

First goal is to get all coaches at the Community Coaches level.
