Presidents report
Jeff
Murdock opened the meeting with the minutes from March01/07 being
accepted. Gary Von Richter was not at this meeting as he is not on the
executive. Gary is in charge of the registration and Jeff asked that he
be appoited a member of the executive. The motion was passed.
Spring games schedule: Moncton's 11-13-15 year olds programs are all up
and running. Also we are in contact with Hampton and St. stephen to each
enter a team.
Bus Charters to Halifax: Michelle Harrison to check into prices for a
U17 bus rental from company her husband works at. We have used Can-Am in
the past at a price of $20 per player per trip. The fee also
included a drink and a sandwich. Kelly will check with Sobeys for food
supply. The team will make 3 trips to Halifax on May 5, 12 and June 2.
Depending on amount of space available parents may come on the bus
provided they sit in the back...quietly.
FNB AGM arrangements: We will be looking to fill the "house"
with CAMFA personnel/supporters. Bantam/PeeWee awards have been ordered
and will be ready next week. A professor from UNB will be the guest
speaker. Professor Gabrielle K will speak on child obesity and the
LEAP (Learning Eating Ability Program).
Child Fitness Tax Credit: Kelly has a form on file and will design it
with a CAMFA logo. No form will be given out until equipment is
returned. Deposit cheque/Tax credit form=Equipment returned.
FNB Screening Policy: It does exist, however we don't follow it as
closely as we should. There is apparently a fee of around $30 per check
from the Fredericton Police force. David Blanchard will se if there is
any way to have this fee reduced or waived. Once we have this
information on file for all our coaches then we would only need to do a
rotation for the new coaches.
