Treasurer: report by Terry McIntyre

·         2011 Revenue was $165,000 and expenses were $185,743.  We had money in the bank from previous years to cover the short fall.  There were expenditures that had not been anticipated including Gladiator hoodies , uprights for Scotia South field (filed under field equipment), user fees.

·         User fees were 34k (25k budgeted) due to having to pay Oromocto field costs for two years (one to catch up from previous year plus the current year).

·         $8002 remaining in bank; large balance from previous year was due to higher registrations

·         Oromocto paid 100% of Jump Start applicants, Fredericton made a slight contribution

Registrar: report by Terry McIntyre

·         878 players in 2011 season.  Lower numbers than previous year due to no summer flag, lower Oromocto flag and Oromocto mosquito summer registration.  Total registration number down 6% from previous year high of 936.

·         CAMFA still largest registration of all three cities in NB that have football leagues.

Coaches Report: report by Vince Sturgeon

Kent Murphy proposal to UNB Bombers to assist U18 program- UNB coaches to assist CAMFA coaches as a training mechanism; ie run drills etc and to help develop coaches for the provincial level.  Tried to get assistance from Varisty coaches but there wasn’t a positive response to date.  Terry proposed that Jamie Edwards may be able approach Varsity coaches to get cooperation.

FNB Service Award Nominations

FNB contacted President for nominations for the April AGM; requested nominations for awards including bantam, pee-wee, female, long-time service, life-time service, coach of the year, grid iron, etc.

Motion -Terry motioned that CAMFA nominate Vince Sturgeon for Bantam, Collin Steeves Peewee, Cheryl and Shaun O’Leary for Grid Iron Award, Hannah Hamilton for Female football, Cynthia Burnett for flag.

Seconded  by Steve Drisdelle

Motion carried

Assignments were given out to prepare the nominations.

Spring football

Start date in early April

Moncton wanted to schedule U13 and U15 games with CAMFA.

We would still have our normal four teams U11 and for U13 (maybe only 3 teams) and 2 teams (maybe 3) U15 teams.

Gear: T-Shirts

Ryan Ward has been going through all the t-shirts in the Hazen Center .  There should be enough shirts to handle spring football.  He proposed that we use them all up this year and then order a new design for next year.

Middle School and Bantam T-Shirts

Teams have gone to ordering their own t-shirts with their own designs so CAMFA will not be ordering any new ones. Tanya -Bantam teams need practice jerseys.

Fundraising: report by Andrew Allaby

Shawn Kitchen proposed Peeler Cards. They would make CAMFA $5 for each car sold.  The peeler cards could be used to replace bottle drives as it is getting harder to get trucks and volunteers to help out for the peeler cards.  Shawn volunteered to look after the card program for Jodi. Neither was present to discuss the situation further.

Steve Drisdelle proposed to postpone the topic until after AGM.
