season. Meeting
called to order 1.
Presidents report Equipment
fitting dates August 17 in Oromocto, August 18-20 in General
registration fittings on Aug 23. Training
camps begin on August 24. Repair
kits and team bags should be prepared before then. 2.
Registrar’s report Registrations
are arriving for the fall season.
Applications had been sent out after the June meeting. 3.
Fundraising report Jodi-
Application sent to Coop for fundraiser but it was not selected at this
time. Application will be
resent in 6 months. Jodi
submitted a letter to be included in the FSI Dinner Auction. 649
applications are also arriving in the mail. Steve
absent - No action on Hilltop dinner fundraiser. Terry
- Giant Tiger to sponsor $750 for Mite League. Devon
Lumber has not yet responded to Squirt sponsorship for this fall. 4.
Equipment Managers report Shawn
- Requests were sent for Ridell and Shutt helmets. Two sample Ridell
Revolution helmets were sent for review.
These are the style that will be purchased. Missing
gear Gear
has been collected but more is still outstanding; efforts will continue to
collect the outstanding gear. 5.
Coaching Coordinator’s report: Update to CAMFA camp 12-14 August Low
cost of $75 includes lunch at UNB for the three days...43
registrations, 13 coaches, 2 sponsors ($300 Beaverbrook Brokerage, $200
Lincoln Thompson) Featuring CIS coaches and players, Special guest is Josh Sacobie (CIS Hec Creighton Finalist). Short presentations will be conducted each evening at the sponsor hotel. Sponsor Hotel is Fredericton Inn. Coaching
labels are being changed but the changes are not complete. In the
meantime, a novice coach (same as old Community Coach and Introduction to
Competition level) course will be scheduled for August 29. Dave will
determine the location (most likely the Base). The course will be 1 day of
training ( A
general coaches meeting should be scheduled to discuss rules, concussions
and possibly injuries. The
required ethics course will be offered online.
The date will be determined. This
will be in addition to the equipment fitting course ( 6.
Official report: Norm
discussed the change in unnecessary roughness rules. Some
discussion about the pads on the goal posts at the Lady Gladiators game in

new officials in line for the fall season. 7.
Treasurer report: $6000
in the bank. Other
Business: Dave
– Two athletes from Shawn
– Can a player keep the gear from Spring to Fall League if he forwards
money after the Spring season. It
would cut down on fittings in the Fall.
The charge could be to pre-pay the fall registrations.
