                                     Executive Meeting Minutes
                                             
June 14, 2007  

Attendance: Jeff Murdock, Kelly Murdock, Terry McIntyre, David Blanchard, Andrew Allaby, Kent Murphy, Justin DeMerchant , Marion McIntyre, Gene Heather

Absent: Ray Muir, Jay Madore, Joni Blanchard, Michelle Harrison, Steve Drisdelle, Gary VonRichter  

1. Presidents report  

 Jeff Murdock opened the meeting  by introducing Shawn Kitching a coach at the U11 age group who purchased 24 sets of football girdle as a trial. All the parents liked them. CAMFA will ask Shawn to take orders for the fall for all athletes who want one at 14.50 each. The minutes from the May 10/07 meeting were then reviewed and accepted.   Motioned Dave seconded Gene.

Scholarships of$250 for Dave Kingston FHS, Ben Thompson FHS, Andrew Hickey FHS and Will Haley OHS, Motion Dave, second Gene, passed

Sport NB has given us a cheque for $200 for the kids sport program for this spring and the pass fall.

All coaches from the spring program to collect the gear remaining. VPS to get Terry’s list for last falls program.

Minor council meted agreed to adopt the Rawling ST5 football for bantam play. They are reviewing the possibility of interlock play at bantam, and the girls program shall start if funding becomes available for the 15/16/17 age group.  

2. Registrar’s report

U17 at 42

for 248 athlete in spring football  

3. Fundraising report  

  Kent indicated that $2898 was raised in the spring bottle drive.

Secondly a bag grocery day will be 30 June from 12-6pm at Oromocto Super store.

A dress code is applied and athletes no younger than 12 may work.

If the girl’s team attends the split will be 25% store 25% women’s. 50 % CAMFA.  

Kent will look for prizes for Raffle ticket for registration the  prizes TBC.  

4. Equipment Managers report (Jeff to cover as Jay unable to attend)  

More shelving will be arriving and volunteers required to help set up as jay in the field until mid June.  Looking at building a semi-permanent counter on wheels for files/paperwork/registration.  Days Inn has offered to wash uniforms for some advertising . Inventory and equipment purchase to take place soon. CAMFA will purchase all bantam ball for provincial program (Rawling ST5)  

5. Coaching  Coordinator’s report:  

Level One NCCP to be held at CFB Gagetown on June 15/16/17/07.  There are 12 coaches registered.  Dave has received 15 manual from Football Canada .  Also looking for a small budget for food. Community course in August, Plan a Level 2 in March, and a level 1. Also looking at a coaching conference.  

Fall program – all coaches must have novice or level one.  

6. Officials report:  Ray absent.    

Squirt program Michelle and Justin to find officials in Fredericton Gene heather will coordinate official for squirt and Mosquito presently.  

7. Treasurer report:

     Report submitted presently$ 7,886 from spring revenue.  

Old Business:      

Fees were revisited Mosquito, Peewee, Bantam to go from $140 to 175 (a book of raffle tickets issued worth $25)

Early regristration of date of 6 August of $150. (a book of raffle tickets issued worth $25)

Squirt fee from $80 to  $125

Early $100 (6 August)  

Closing remarks:  The executive’s next meeting will be on July12/07.    The meeting was adjourned at 2130 hours.
