Meeting called to order 9:10 after two hours of stuffing fall registration mail out envelopes.

1. Presidents report

Nothing to report  

2. Registrar’s report

700 registrations sent out to potential fall registrants this evening 

3. Fundraising report

Jodi reported

$294 raised from Tshirt sales and the 50/50 at the 11u and 13U games on May 13

$534.99 raised on May 29-31 from bottle drive donations (drive was cancelled due to rain)

$150 raised from bottle drop-off Fredericton

$102 raised from bottle drop–off in Oromocto  

649 draw forms were inserted into registrations  

Y’s men breakfast date not decided yet as they have already scheduled all the breakfasts for the near term; will be pursued at a later date.  

Shawn K. potential fundraiser at the Vanier Co-op gas bar; a request will be submitted for consideration.  

Steve – consider doing the meal deal at the Hill Top again in the fall; would also include the silent auction …Justin - with 50% of silent auction proceeds to go to donating team. Steve asked that a Sunday night be selected – 4th October or 27th of September were selected.

Action -Steve to arrange.  

 4. Equipment Managers report

Terry reported – 10 southside and 7 northside counts of missing gear;

Joey  - one outstanding set of gear from Oromocto

Action Item:assignments given to collect the gear; should be all collected by next meeting  

5. Coaching Coordinator’s report:

CAMFA 2009 Future Stars Football Camp – brochure inserted into registration envelopes

Aug 12-14 Chapman Field  Ages 10-13 and 14-17 Max 80 registrants; David to organize coaches for the camp.  Terry to send out call for volunteer coaches for the camp.  

Community coaching course – still need a list of names of potential students in order to have a course this fall; Forms can be filled out at Jamborees and pre-season camps

                -Steve recommended serving food to help bring in bodies

                   - Joey recommended that the course beheld after the season starts or sometime after August; could be an issue with finding a time when people are not either coaching or playing a game; Potential date September 20.

       Can potentially do part of the novice coaching course as on-line and then minimize the amount
of field/meeting time required.  Potentially scheduled for later in September.

7. Treasurer report:

Terry reported that we have $6000-$7000 in the bank.  Statement not available.  

Other Business:  

Dave asked about new equipment – Shawn has a list of requirements with cost that he needs to revise; current estimate around $22,000.  

Terry asked for mattresses to cover brick building at Chapman Field.  They should be in plastic. Other option would be to use 7-8 tackling dummies roped to the building. Alternates will be investigated.
