Attendance: Jeff Murdock, Kelly Murdock, Terry McIntyre, Gary VonRichter  David Blanchard, Joni Blanchard, , Andrew Allaby, Michelle Harrison, Steve Drisdelle,  Kent Murphy

1. Presidents report

Jeff Murdock opened the meeting with the minutes from April 12/07 being accepted.   Jeff suggested we do not buy “All-star Awards” for the spring program as this is a developmental program.  Motion passed.  Spring program is well under way although field availability in Oromocto remains an issue.  Fredericton fields all open.   Dave advised to remind coaches /parents to check the website for updates/cancellations.  Terry will issue refunds cheques this week.  If a player quits after May 12/13 weekend no refund will be given.   Jeff/Dave to go over existing program and will develop a game plan for coaches for next spring.  The kids need to “learn” at practice, coaches need to focus on “skills” as opposed to “system”.   Focus on a “developmental” as opposed to “competitive” program.

2. Registrar’s report

Gary advised that we have 250 players registered.  U11/13/15 approximately 99% paid.   Gary to look at producing a form for gear and the fall registration which will include:

-last position played / school / grade

Issue of Visa/Mastercard/Debit being made available for our registration.  Could a phone line be installed in the Hazen centre?  A laptop for CAMFA could also assist in streamlining the process.  Jeff proposes we look at this as part of next years budget.

Question was raised on the necessity of the Medicare # and if we can drop it from our registration form.  Update to be provided.

Women’s program to be fitted on Monday at 7pm.  Guys program to be fitted on Sunday.  Cost will be $150 with $75- due at gear pickup and the balance by the first game.  Ultimately it would be ideal for these programs to be on their own. Do their own fundraising, rent their gear etc.

3. Fundraising report

Bottle drive set for June 02/07, we will require:

-          3 off site locations (St, Mary’s band hall/New Maryland/OHS)?

-          3 site captains

-          Street maps

-          Contact info for Managers of all teams

All bottles will be sorted, counted and bagged from the designated site and then delivered between 12:30pm and 1:00pm to the closet redemption centre.  A print out will be sent home a week prior to the bottle drive.

Superstore for packing has been scheduled for June 9th

4. Equipment Managers report (Jeff to cover as Jay unable to attend)

More shelving will be arriving and volunteers required to help set up as jay in the field until mid June.  Looking at building a semi-permanent counter on wheels for files/paperwork/registration.  Jay has purchased new tubs, lamps, fridge in an effort to make the room more comfortable for all.

5. Coaching  Coordinator’s report:

Level One NCCP to be held at Leo Hayes/CFB Gagetown on June 15/16/17/07.  There are 24 coaches needing to take this course but presently only 8 are registered.  Dave has received 15 manual from Football Canada on NCCP Level one but no video tapes were received.  Also looking for a small budget for food.

Fall program – all coaches must have novice or level one.

6. Official report:  Ray absent.

Marion to arrange officials for the Squirt program.

7. Treasurer report:

Absent – no report

Old Business:    CAMFA to secure our place with UNB will need approximately $10,000- yearly in Legacy fund…..extra $10.00per player?  Jeff, Terry and Kent to sit down with UNB ASAP.  To place “bring back UNB football” on the T-shirts given to the spring program will cost around $500-.

Ladies program has raised money at carwash and have been advised they will keep all the money they raised .

Room in new northside complex should be ready soon.

Terry suggests we have garbage bags ready at the last game for gear to be turned in.  Two colors one for Fredericton and one for Oromocto.  Players will receive their pictures, deposit cheques and tax credit form in exchange for their gear.

Closing remarks:  The executive’s next meeting will be on June 14/07.    The meeting was adjourned at 2200 hours.
