  1. Presidents report

JM refund for player (handled by TM when gear received)

JM shed to be stored (DB to look into storage at the base)  

JM read Mission Statement

JM read Fair Play Code – re: coaching issue for not playing fair players

JM requests executive to review FPC to make it conducive to players, coaches and the executive.   

JM 8 man and 12 man championship Nov 2 weekend.

·        TM can get Oct 31 (8 man)  and next game (12 man) can be Nov 2 on Chapman Field – will request coaches input  

JM discussed CAMFA with Jordan Graham (Councilor in Fredericton )

SD recommended inviting council and MLA to Championship Weekend for honorary kick-off  

2. Registrar’s report  

TM  - handed out registration statistics - up 13% this year.  

3. Fundraising report

Kent away – report read by JM  

Contacted Sports Investment people; will be accepted for next year.

·        For this year, we can submit 3 items for live auction

o       KM  Working on items (ie. 4 Patriots tickets) for the auction.

o       JM  Dec 9 Leroy Washburn to donate painting

o       JM Call for additional donations  

Championship Series

·        “On the Spot” to be at games on Nov 2 (trial run) and Nov 9. The benefit to CAMFA will be 5-10% of profits or images for promotion.  We will request the cut of profits.

·        Kinsman to be at game Nov 9, submitted menu suggestions for review.

·        UNB dressing rooms – 3 available; local teams come dressed from home

·        Lights – TM has key; scoreboard and timer at field

·        Portapotties should be freshened up.

·        DB to look into sound system; JM also to contact Mike Jones at Signature Sound

·        Who to call (Terry and Steve to check contacts)

·        JM passed around sample of windscreen

·        On the 9th, have a half-time scrimmage of tug of war relay race (for Squirt the 2nd/ Mosquito the 9th)  

·        Motion on the 2nd that at half time the squirt/ mosquito do a scrimmage for 15 min to play on turf (one each half time) . Teams play that placed 1st and 2nd   during the season.

·        On the 9th, to have mosquito and pee-wee all-star players (not playing that weekend) to run relays on super Sunday.

·        TM Motion, SD seconded

·        TM to send out distribution list to coaches  

·        JM requested some article (CAMFA red hoody) to identify event staff/organizers during the championship game – identify with CAMFA helmet. Embroidered

·        LF to contact Matt McDonald at Valley Graphics

·        JM to get a price at another location

·        TM Motion up to $500 for JM for hoodies

·        LF seconded  

·        Bottle drive discussion deferred to next meeting  

 4. Equipment Managers report

5. Coaching Coordinator’s report:  

  • Doug Urbach invited refs or teams to come down to a football tournament.  Nov 16-17 (?) in Portland Maine
  • NCCP Marcus Whittingham to offer level 1, 2 and 3 between Jan and March for coaches  (6 courses ---3 level 1’s, 2 level 2’s and 1 level 3)

6. Official report:  

JM Email to Ray on Sept 5 – positive behaviour on field requested by coaches towards officials;  RM responded that officials were on field at one game that were not certified Level 1.  The training would require that the officials be 16 years of age to ref and would teach them how to run a game.  Officials under 16 can ref mosquito and squirt levels.   

Issue with recruiting.  Floated idea to submit request to Football NB for training. TM to discuss potential to install funding in budget for next year. 

7. Treasurer report:  

Jumpstart/ Kids Sport 

KM needs the Jumpstart form emailed; all parents have been contacted

JD forms filled out; needs to contact parents  

TM reported- No detailed Treasurer report - $60,000 ish in bank but outstanding invoices have to be paid.
