2001 Season

October 27   Final           Oromocto Alouettes 22 Fredericton Tiger-Cats 17 (OT)

          The championship game was a classic. Garrett Gee returned the opening kickoff all the way for a Tiger-Cats touchdown. Matt Morton added the convert. The Alouettes would get regulation time majors from Brandon Legacy and Shane O'Neill with converts from Michael Hillier and Lawrence Claridge. This 16-8 lead would hold up until the final minute when Sarah Downey's six pointer and Blake Lavigne's convert tied the score.
           The teams played a 15 minute overtime period. With 45 seconds remaining Matthew Morton booted a single to give the Tiger-Cats a 17-16 lead. Nathan Heather's 50 yard touchdown run with 30 seconds on the clock claimed the championship for the Alouettes.  

October 27    3rd Place      Fredericton Argonauts 14 Fredericton Eskimos 6

          Zach Daigle and Aaron Gagnon scored the Argos majors. Matt Rioux added a convert. Eric McGarry scored the Eskimos touchdown.

October 27     5th Place      Oromocto Roughriders 44  Fredericton Stampeders 14

          Josh Blanchard rumbled for five touchdowns and booted a convert to pace the Riders to victory. Ryan Sheppard had a TD and two converts. Peter Wilde added a convert.
          Cody Frenette had a touchdown and a convert for the Stamps. Chris Bilensky scored the other Fredericton six pointer.    

October 21     Semi-Final       Oromocto Alouettes 44 Fredericton Eskimos 0

            Mitchell McCoy paced the Alouettes with two touchdowns. Nathan Heather, Xavier Richards, Brandon Legacy and David "Mad Dog" Camp each had one major. Heather booted two converts while Richards and Legacy added one each.                 

                      Semi-Final     Fredericton Tiger-Cats 30 Fredericton Argonauts 20

            Blake Lavigne scored three majors for the Tiger-Cats. Nick MacLaughlin added one. Matthew Morton kicked two converts and Lavigne added one. 
         Zach Daigle  had two majors and a convert for the Argos. Josh Campbell had the six pointer.
     

October 20     Quarter-Final     Fredericton Eskimos 20 Fredericton Stampeders 12

            Jake Bryden, Alain Guitard and Emmitt Deighan scored six pointers for the Eskies. Derek Broad added a convert.
          Cody Wiggins had both Stamps majors. 
                     

                     Quarter-Final     Fredericton Tiger-Cats 31 Oromocto Roughriders 28

            Matt Morton's 15 yard field goal with no time left on the clock lifted the Cats to their come from behind victory. Blake Lavigne scored three touchdowns for the winners and Garrett Gee added one. Lavigne also booted two converts.
          Josh Blanchard scored all four Rider majors. Brandon Coustney added two converts.
                

Oct. 13                                      Oromocto Alouettes 46  Fredericton Eskimos 16

            Nathan Heather and Zack Rusk each had two touchdowns for the Alouettes. Xavier Richards and Mitchell McCoy scored the other Als majors. Shane O'Neill booted two converts with David Camp, Zack Rusk and Mitchell McCoy adding one each.
           Luke Vienneau and Emmitt Deighan rushed for the Eskimos touchdowns. Ben Budaker and Alain Guitard kicked converts.

          The Stampeders registered their first win of the season by outlasting the Riders. Cody Wiggins scored four touchdowns for the Stamps. Chris Bilensky and  Justin Anderson each had one six pointer. Bilensky and Wiggins each booted two converts while Patrick Stewart converted one TD.   
          Josh Blanchard scored 4 touchdowns for the Riders. Ben Reid and Ryan Sheppard had the other majors. Brandon Courtney converted two touchdowns while Blanchard and Sheppard converted one each.

          James Fauvelle scored both Argo touchdowns. Zach Ross and Natasha Daigle booted converts. 
          Blake Lavigne scored the Tiger-Cats touchdown with Matt Morton adding the convert. 

Oct. 10                                          Oromocto Alouettes 34  Fredericton Stampeders 8

            Nathan Heather ran for one touchdown and passed to Shane O'Neill and Brandon Legacy for two more to lead the Alouettes to their win. Legacy also passed to Mitchell McCoy for a major and Lawrence Claridge added another six pointer on a run. Legacy and Heather added converts.
           Cody Wiggins rushed for the Stamps only touchdown. Sam Boucher converted.

          Blake Lavigne's second touchdown of the game with two seconds left on the clock lifted the Cats to victory. Lavigne and Matt Morton had converts.
          Josh Blanchard scored a touchdown and kicked a single for the Riders. Jon Reid had the other major. Brandon Coustney kicked one convert.

          Aaron Gagnon and Taylor Fung had the Argos six pointers. Zack Ross and Dillon Gaudet booted converts. 
          Luke Vienneau scored the Eskimos touchdown.

            Shane O'Neill scored the Als touchdown and Mitchell McCoy added the convert.

          Aaron Gagnon's 80 yard touchdown run with less than five minutes remaining in the game lifted the Argos to victory. Zach Daigle added the convert.

           Derek Broad, Emmett Deighan and Luke Vienneau scored six pointers for the Eskimos. Eric McGarry booted a convert.

            Nathan Heather scored three touchdowns for the Als. Mitchell McCoy and David "Mad Dog" Camp had the other six pointers. Heather and McCoy added converts.
           Matt Morton and Garrett Gee replied for the Tiger-Cats.

           Zach Daigle lead the Argos attack scoring four touchdowns. Aaron Gagnon had the other Argos TD. Daigle and Zach Ross added converts.
           Josh Blanchard rambled for all three Rider six pointers and booted two converts. Brandon Coustney also kicked a convert.

           Eric McGarry lead the Eskimos with four touchdowns and a convert. Luc Vienneau had the other Eskies major as well as a convert. Jake Bryden added a convert.

            Nathan Heather ran wild for the Als scoring four touchdowns. Mike Hillier had the other six pointer. Zach Rusk and Mitchell McCoy added converts.
           Josh Blanchard scored both Rider majors. Blanchard and Jessiah Grignon kicked converts.

           Zach Ross and Dylan Ross scored the Argo TD's. Zach Daigle replied for the Stamps.

           Alain Guitard and Jake Bryden scored for the Eskies while Blake Lavigne and Nicki MacLaughlin replied for the Tabbies.

Sept. 22                                           Oromocto Alouettes 22  Fredericton Eskimos 0

            Nathan Heather scored two touchdowns and Mitchell McCoy one to lead the Als to victory. Xavier Richards and Zach Rusk added converts.

           Josh Blanchard lead the Roughriders attack scoring four touchdowns. Ryan Shepard, Brandon Coustney and Dustin Gardiner also had Rider majors. Shepard kicked two converts and Ben Reid added one. Jon Reid booted a single.
            Cody Wiggins scored the Stampeders touchdown.

           Zach Daigle scored four touchdowns and booted three converts for the Argos. Zach Ross, Josh Campbell and Natasha Daigle ran for one touchdown each.

Sept. 20                                          Oromocto Alouettes 42  Fredericton Stampeders 6

            Nathan Heather scored four touchdowns and Mitchell McCoy and Zach Rusk one each. McKoy booted two converts and Rusk one.
            Brandon Legacy scored the lone Stamps major.

           Josh Blanchard lead the Roughriders attack scoring three touchdowns, kicking a convert and a single. Ryan Shepard and Brett Crane scored the other Rider majors with Brandon Coustney and Jessiah Grignon kicking converts.
            Blake Lavigne scored three touchdowns for the Ti-Cats with Matt Morton adding one. Mike Depow and Nicki MacLaughlin had converts.

           Zach Daigle, Zach Ross, Josh Campbell and Aaron Gagnon all scored touchdowns for the Argos. Daigle also added a convert.

Sept. 15                                           Oromocto Alouettes 14 Fredericton Argonauts 6

            Nathan Heather scored both Als touchdowns with Xavier Richards adding a convert. Matt Rioux rushed for the lone Argos TD.

                                                       Oromocto Roughriders 42 Fredericton Eskimos 6

           Josh Blanchard was a one man wrecking crew in leading the Roughriders to their lopsided victory. He scored five touchdowns, two on offence, two off interceptions and one on a kickoff return as well as booting a convert. Ryan Shepard scored the other Rider major with Brandon Coustney and Ben Reid kicking converts.
            Allain Guitard had the lone Eskimos score.

           The Tiger-Cats got 3 touchdowns from Matthew Morton, 2 from Blake Lavigne and one from Robyn Downing. Nicki MacLaughlin booted two converts and Garett Gee one.
           Tyson James scored the Stampeders major.

Sept. 13                                           Fredericton Argonauts 26 Fredericton Stampeders 0

            Aaron Gagnon paced the Argos victory with three rushing majors. Zach Daigle had the other Argos touchdown and a convert

                                                        Fredericton Eskimos 14 Fredericton Tiger-Cats 12 

           Eric McGarry's convert proved to be the difference as the Eskimos edged the Tiger-Cats. McGarry and Luke Vienneau scored the Eskimos touchdowns with Jordon Lyons and Blake Lavigne replying for the Tabbies.

                                                        Oromocto Alouettes 24 Oromocto Roughriders 9

           In the battle of Oromocto the Alouettes got touchdowns from Zach Rusk, Mitchell McCoy and Nathan Heather as well as converts from Rusk, Heather and Mike Hillier.
           Josh Blanchard accounted for all the Rider points with a TD, a convert and a single.

 

Sept. 8                                              Fredericton Argonauts 18 Oromocto Alouettes 6

            Zach Daigle paced the Argos victory with two rushing majors. Aaron Gagnon scored the other Argos touchdown.  Zach Rusk had the Alouettes six pointer.

                                                        Fredericton Tiger-Cats 30 Fredericton Stampeders 8

           The Cats got two touchdowns from Garrett Gee and one each from Blake Lavigne and Michael Depow to seal the victory. Lavigne added two converts and Matt Morton one.
           Sam Goucher scored the Stamps major. Justin Anderson booted the convert.

           Jake Bryden rambled for two touchdowns and booted a convert to lead the Eskimos to the win. Alain Guitard scored the other Eskimos major and Eric McGarry added the convert.
          Josh Blanchard scored both Roughrider touchdowns and ran in a convert.
