These schools play in the New Brunswick High School Football League which is governed and administered by the New Brunswick Interscholastic Athletic Association.

Capital Area Minor Football has set up The North-South Bowl Game" between Fredericton High School and Leo Hayes High School. The last regular season game each year between the two schools is the "North-South Bowl Game". The team winning this game has possession of the North-South Bowl Trophy until next year's game. Capital Area Minor Football donated the North-South Bowl Trophy.
