Oromocto Mosquito Grizzlies Football |
About the Team |
The name Grizzlies was first used in Capital Area Football during 1996 as the nickname for one of the PeeWee teams that was established in Oromocto that year as part of the introduction of minor football there. The Grizzlies name disappeared in 1997 when Capital Area PeeWee football moved from playing 9 player football to 12 player football and the Oromocto Grizzlies merged with the Oromocto Leopards and used the latter's nickname. The name was revived in 1999 when the Mosquito League was founded.
