West End Rough Riders Mosquito Football

About the Team

The Rough Riders nickname was used for a Southside PeeWee team until 1996. In 1997 PeeWee football in the Capital Area switched from 9 player to 12 player. The Rams were merged with the Rough Riders and adopted the latter's nickname. In 1998 the PeeWee Rough Riders became the Red Bombers. The Rough Riders name was reactivated in 1999 when the Mosquito League was established.
