George Street Crusaders- About the Team

Up until 2001 the south side of Fredericton had one PeeWee team, the Red Bombers, made up of students from George Street Middle School and Albert Street Middle School. The team had a large number of players, close to 40 each year, so a decision was made to try and form two teams. George Street Middle School, Albert Street Middle School and School District 18 were approached by Capital Area Minor Football in 2002 and permission was given to use the Crusaders and Eagles nicknames for the teams. CAMFA has a partnership agreement with School District18 under the Dept. of Education's Policy 315.
